Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015: Dr. Larry Davis, Chancellor of Morrilton Community College, made a presentation at Petit Jean Electric about the proposed plans for higher education in Van Buren County, as part of the “Give Meaning” campaign. Expansion plans for the UACCM campus will include a state-of-the-art Workforce Training Center. He provided details about UACCM’s impact, from vocational & technical benchmarks to workforce placement programs and the effects on local economy.
Beginning in 2016, the first openings for LPN classes will be available in Clinton, in cooperation with Ozark Health. More details about goals for Clinton-based education will be released soon. The Van Buren County committee representing this campaign includes a number of individuals conspicuous for their tireless efforts to make college education accessible to our area.
