Metro Bass Tournament

Clinton was happy to host the first of two Metro Bass Tournament weigh-ins (April & October 2017) at Archey Fork Park, Sunday April 9. What a gorgeous day for our guests from the Metro Bass Club! Thanks to members of our A&P Commission, Tim Clark, Gayla Bradley, Jason Hayes, and others for helping to organize the event & feed the crew!

April 8th, Clinton A&P hosted The Metro Bass Club Tournament and the club from Little Rock is celebrating its 25th year and saw a great first day fishing for the anglers on Greers Ferry Lake Choctaw. The anglers pulled in at Archey Fork Park for weigh in, where weighing in bass of 2 lbs to 4lbs. The weigh in was followed by a welcome reception catered by Clinton A&P Commission and music played at the park by Clinton’s very own DJ Tim McCool. For many anglers, there’s nothing more exciting than catching a bass. The sound of the lure, the sight of an approaching fish, and the exhilaration of seeing a big splash, can be enough to get angler’s heart racing. The Anglers were having a great time around the tables with their fisherman’s tales that brings laughter and sympathy for the one who let that one big one get away. Thank you Metro Bass Club for considering Clinton for your tournaments.
