The Clinton Water & Sewer system has a problem with prescription drugs and needles clogging our sewers. Please remember that flushing pills or syringes is not an acceptable way of disposal.
For safe disposal of medicines, you can bring your leftover medications to drop boxes at Clinton Drug & the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office, where they will be collected for proper incineration.
Needles & syringes should be securely enclosed in a solid container, sealed with tape, & marked for its sharp contents. Throw these containers in your household trash.
For more information about safe disposal, and what you can do to help with this problem, call the Water & Sewer Department or contact Brian Henderson at the Van Buren County T.E.A. Coalition (501-745-7004 ext. 103)
